Project
I led the UT Austin Dell Med Finance team tasked with designing a new chart of accounts, financial structure, and ERP design within an accelerated 7-month timeline.
Challenges
Our lean Finance team did not have time to hire and train temporary staff, so all work on the design was in addition to day-to-day duties.
Final product
We were able to complete design and full end-to-end testing by our go-live date of 9/1/2025 successfully.
What I learned
In addition to project management tools utilized by our Accenture partners (Jira), I was able to pass along valuable lessons to our HR colleagues in team/work group design. We learned early on we should have involved a deeper layer of team members from the beginning.
